Certell Appoints Richard N. Lorenc as President & COO
Indianapolis, IN – Certell, a leader in digital education solutions, is proud to announce that Richard N. Lorenc has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer, effective October 1, 2024. Lorenc brings with him a wealth of experience in growth leadership and education, aligning perfectly with Certell’s mission of making world-class digital curricula in social studies available to teachers at no charge.
Lorenc previously served as Chief Growth Officer at Iron Light, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s recognition as one of the Inc 5000 and also Inc’s Fastest Growing Midwest Companies in 2023 and 2024. He previously held the position of Executive Vice President at the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), where his strategic leadership helped the organization reach millions of students online and in person.

Lorenc’s extensive background also includes serving on the Georgia Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and as chairman of the board of America’s Future. His contributions to the field of education have been recognized with a 2019 Buckley Award for innovative efforts to educate the next generation on free-market values and policy solutions.

Lorenc, who resides in Atlanta, Ga. with his family, will focus on further scaling Certell’s digital curricula and expanding its flagship learning management system PostPossible while continuing to support Certell’s ownership of Huntington Junior College with its first-ever accredited degree program in classical liberalism.
