Nov. 22 – John F. Kennedy assassinated

John F. Kennedy was a democrat and the 35th president of the United States. He died an unfortunate death on November 22, 1963. Kennedy was shot in the back of the head at 12:30pm central standard time while traveling in a presidential motorcade through downtown Dallas. He was then taken to Parkland Hospital where he was pronounced dead 30 minutes after arrival. The first three years of Kennedy’s burial at Arlington Cemetery saw 16 million visitors at his grave. After three years, He was moved to a permanent memorial where his family members were later buried as well. Kennedy’s Vice President, Lyndon B. Johnson, succeeded him and issued an executive order to create the Warren Commission, which would be used to investigate this assassination. This commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the murder. This conclusion, and the mystery of his death in general, have led to many conspiracies regarding the truth behind Kennedy’s assassination.
