New Series – The Experiment Continues; 250 Years of America’s Story

The DC Journal has launched a new monthly syndicated opinion series to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The series is titled The Experiment Continues; 250 Years of America’s Story and features our founder and CEO Fred Fransen.

The purpose of the series is to reintroduce and reflect on the grounding principles of this country. What does it mean to be an American? Is it good or bad? Admirable or embarrassing? Are we the heirs of a history of which we should be proud — or should we erase our history out of shame and chart a new path? What does it mean today to be a “virtuous people”? Is there even such a thing as “the American people”?  At no time since the launch of the American experiment almost 250 years ago has there been a greater push to abandon our principles and move our country in a radically new direction, whether to the left or the right or some combination of extreme views from both.

You can read the first post in series here. The American Experiment: What Is An American?
